The Drupal YubiKey module

The Yubikey module for Drupal provides YubiKey strong two-factor user authentication capabilities for Drupal. This module provides a superset of the features of the "official" Drupal YubiKey module available from http://drupal.org/project/yubikey -- we hope to merge our changes upstream eventually.

The module is very flexible and provides the following capabilities:

  • Support for four authentication schemes:
  1. Username + Password + YubiKey OTP (with administrative options to make OTP optional until a YubiKey is assigned or when lost)
  2. Password + YubiKey OTP
  3. (Username or YubiKey OTP) + Password
  4. YubiKey OTP only
  • Role-based YubiKey management
  • Administrative option to enable self-management of YubiKeys by site users
  • Exhaustive global settings:
  1. Ability to choose one of the four supported authentication schemes
  2. Ability to choose between Yubico online validation service and self-hosted validation service
  3. Configurable validation service API parameters
  4. Configurable e-mail templates for notifications
  • Reporting of lost/damaged YubiKey
